THis may be part of the Norton firewall problem. It was noted when IM 140m first came out that GZIP compression caused white pages with Norton firewall. Very good, a small point the stylechanger on the portal.php, on selection it sends you to the index, where there is no left column, hence users cannot easily look through the styles without the back button.
