What you need to do is go in and set permission to the pafiledb/screenshots folder to 000 if you do not use screenshots. I personally would not. There is a couple other security measures floating around here that you can take as well like .hta file and dropping a index.html file in all folders. BUT ...

That is a real nice way to do it. Far less bogus registers that way too. The ones that do slide through are human spammers.

Holy smokes! Talk about bringing an old thread back to life <img> . I use WSFTP Pro as well. I have used Filezilla and I think it is real nice and works great.

There is another thread or two running around here about this issue. Did you have a look at either of those and try anything from them?

Anything new on this problem? I have a site in mind that I need to help out real bad. They are having major issues right now and are considering switching to a new system. They would like to visit the site and login like they used to.

Helter is correct. That mod is for regular phpBB2. Since IM uses profilcp it would take a pcp genious to figure it out. I took a crack at it here w week or two ago when I talked to Amber on your site about it and I could not get it to do anything but nag at me. I struck out pretty bad.

I think some of the fixes have been added in as time went by. And it is not so much fixes as it is teaching CTracker what is ok and what is not. As was suggested, if you are getting False positives, the best thing to do is work your way through the Cracker Tracker False Positives thread and try each...
