I tried it on my forum and it works ok, but I think your setting it up wrong. If you have: Category Forum >Subforum 1 >Subforum 2 >Subforum 3 If you set "Forum" to Private and leave "Subforum 1,2 & 3" set at registered or less, then the subforums will be open and not private....

I think there was one in the downloads section, but seems Helter might be working on the site, and the menus are gone and pages are messed up.

Myself, I added a wordpress blog and just added links in the qbar.
Downfall is that people have to register for it.

Did you setup each subforum with Private only access?

Then setup the usergroup with the only permission to view these sections.

Checked all my sites and they were all the same.

Fixed them all now.

Didn't recall the 666 in the instructions, but might have overlooked it.

I tried clearing both several times and still same thing.

Here's a ss:

Most should be all red like one's shown.
Only 3 members were online at the time, and they would appear as green lights.

I checked phpbb_config, and it only contains 2 fields. config_name and config_value.

Browsing them there is no mention of admin or mod or values.
