The best way to see what version of php is running look at your xampp menu in the upper left corner.

Cleo, have just checked and it always says MySql 5.0.18-ntà¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¦ no mater which version you are running. In the DOS window if it the option is 4, its running 5 and if its 5 its 4 also on the home page it displays the correct info.

Have quick check to see if the 2.0.20 update missed any table entries ( I will have a look here) just in caseà¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ ¦

Cleo did you use the update script when updating and did you have some moderators added before updating?

The only thing I can think of is an error in functions_post so here is one that I know works.

Cleo compare the two files... might help <img>

No problems Cleo, if we set up a forums for everything we'd have nothing but forums besides we can tidy it up later... <img>

Thanks for this Fubie. It rocks to be able to do this.

My localhost forum is working great when you are a guest looking around. Then when you log in as a normal user it still works perfectly.

The problem is when I log in under my admin then I get the following error:

Of course I need to log in as admin or whats the point...lol.

All light you can shine on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is this error when using the pre installed IM 140 or one you installed?

You don't have a mail server set-up on your local system... So you can't send mail... Just ignore the error messages or set-up mercury mail or any mail server.
Mercury Mail comes with Zampp... Has any one set it up?

Fubie,

Sorry mate...its my forum I installed.

If I ignore the error message then I still cant log in as admin so thats no good to me. If I have to install the mail side of it then thats OK but I cant understand why as I can log in as a normal user normally.

Then there is something not right with your install.

Can you wipe your install and retry it?

Also, is this a clean install or are you putting your live forum on here to toy with?

I did uninstall it and then re install before I asked you and still does the same thing.

Its my modded forum that I use and want to have it on here to do more custom additions as I have members that are on 24 hours a day and this will save me changing it live and giving them some errors occasionally.

Also before I added the MySQL part today I always could log into the forum as admin while pulling it off my server database

I'm really not sure why it is giving that error. None of my forums have done it.

I'll see if I can find an answer some where.
