Adding info to the memberlist

I have added input areas to the pcp and figured out how to display it under public info. I am trying to figure out how to add it to the memberlist as optional columns.

I can make a link to it in the memberlist through
P.C.P. >> Maps definition >> PCP >> buddy >>

But it does not display.

I also want / need to be able to create a seperate memberlist that will be private, so I can set permissions. either like a forum or a user group.

Any help availible would be helpfull.
Any suggested reading on making php pages, is php for dummies any good?
