IntegraMOD

Since the phpBB developers decided to use phpBB 3 instead of 2.1 for their next version of phpBB (they wanted to follow the Linux kernel version format), why not the next version of IntegraMOD made for phpBB 3 IntegraMOD 2? It's a new start, like how we did to IntegraMOD 1.4.0.

I remembered it used to be called 1.3.3 before the release, but as many things are changed the version changed to 1.4.0.

And I just looked at Stargate. Nice name, and nice .script. Amazing hoe Michaelo could keep track of the changes from beta to beta of phpBB 3, then to RC1. Good job on that. <img>

IntegraMOD2 would cause too much confusion. When we originally moved the site to http://www.integramod2.com, Wekke answered by rushing out his integramod version and calling it Integramod2. Since he was the sole dev on that project, we dont know it and cannot support it. I think you can understand the confusion the few remaining users would feel if they came here for support and we had a totally different platform with the same name.

How about 1.5? Like how it became 1.4.0 instead of 1.3.3.

It went from v 1.3.4 to 1.4.0 because there were so many changes in what would have been version 1.3.5 that it was virtually a complete restart and not just an upgrade (if I recall properly), but yes, perhaps the next version will be 1.5 if there are loads and loads of changes, if here are only a few then it will probably end up as 1.4.2

142 is minor changes, all the bugfixes, and a new install .script. Possibly IMPortal2 also. We didnt want to make a huge process out of it, because we are already preparing for IntegraMOD3 (name has not yet been finalized)

Hmm, I thought IntegraMOD 1.4.2 uses phpBB 3?

If that's not, then probably there is a misunderstanding.

I was thinking that 1.4.2 would be using phpBB 3...

Anyway, yeah, a new version number would be good for the version using phpBB 3. <img>
