Question "Failed Sending Email ::PHP::"

If I remember correctly this error was corrected here on this server, can someone please tell me how this error was solved because I am getting the same error now that has come up out of the blue and I know I have not changed any files, but my host says that their sendmail function is working fine, but I am not so sure, so I thought I remembered the same issue hore some time back, any suggestions or can anyone tell me how it was fixed here?
