phpbb2 vs phpbb3

i personally have tried out phpbb3 and i think it sucks it makes life more complicated then it needs to be with the forum permissions. Anyone else feel the same?

the new system is very similar to pcp, in allowing you to set custom permissions. Once your used to it, I think you will find it superior in its customization ability, at least as far as permissions are concerned. The easiest way around olot of the work, is to create a forum designed for each usergroup and custom design the group permissions. Then when you create new forums, simply copy the permissions from one of these forums instead of repeating the proccess for each new forum.
It does get confusing occasionally though regarding administrative permissions

And what do you think about creating new BBCODE's.
You can create them simple in your ACP, in phpBB you have to code your phpbb.php, your phpbb.tpl.
