phpbb 2.0.x retired?

With the announcement of the [url=http]early retirement of phpbb 2.0.x[/url]
has the IM141 team started looking at an end of support day for IM141?

you see.. I hate change and need the time to prepare and EASE into it

Security patches, if required, will be provided until Sunday 1st February 2009.


I'm in no rush until this happens... but have you ever heard of stargate?
They already have your future all planned out around here. <img>

we will not stop supporting phpbb2 versions of IM, but we will stop adding and supporting new mods for it. IM3 should be released by then and the update will be much less painful than past updates.
Since there will be no more security updates from phpbb after January 1st 2009, I would highly recommend upgrading before, or shortly after that date because we will not be aware of new phpbb vulnerabilities until it is too late.

I'm registered over there and have been testing for a while

I have several sites running IM141 at the moment and a year might seem like a long time, but it's really not
At least as far as the development cycle goes
