How do I go about downloading IM3

You don't - not available yet.
Still in the final stages of development I believe.

Does any current IM I can download include phpbb3 and the download hack?

no current version of IM is available at this time for phpBB3. The current DL of IM is based on phpBB2.x

The new one is being worked on as we speak.

This is all well and good. However, the question is not were to download IM3. The question is really, why there are nobet a releases and as I would hope by now, RC releases! There is a still relatively large userbase of folks who would install and use and so also help in finding problems and even the solutions. At this point we are forced to deal with the buggy integration of cracker tracker of the existing 1.4.x series. when will we see even one beta release of IM3 with phpBB3? When phpBB4 has already been released. I do like the IM series, however, I find this almost 3 year long wait for a production ready level release of IM quite trying. As it is, there are out there already too many scripts in the hand of kiddies for exploiting the know issues of IM 1.3. While the buggy 1.4 series is hardly ready for use.

Release the current beta or RC version of IM3, now! Even if it is only a snapshot. Let us install it and so assist in locating the issues that need addressing. and shockingly perhaps even fix some bugs and then send you the patches so you won't have to be so slow.

At this rate by the time you have the grand public release of a production IM3 it may well be a non-event---as most who have been waiting, will have gone to other options.

If this will take much longer, how about releasing an IM 1.4.2 that actually works and had the cracker tracker integration fixed! or without the cracker tracker. and perhaps some of the other known issues of the 1.4 series fixed. It is more than hard to believe, it is impossible to believe that IM3 has not been stable enough to be released as beta or RC. Your own use of IM3 for such a long time for this your support forum does prove my point.

Is there a timeline in wich this is released?
Am building a forum atm from the IM2, but can't wait to install IM3 due to some API mods I found.

the problem has been that dev has fallen almost completely on me and I am not really a php programmer. It seems everytime we get close to a beta release one of our core mods has a major update. On the bright side the current version seems to be pretty stable and most of the construction is done. Im currently working on the install. phpBB3 is a little different in that most of the acp modules are installed into the db and do not show up just because the files are there so a premature release would be relatively useless.

* I think your timeline is a little off. The current version of phpBB is 3 not 4 and it has not been out for 3 years

indeed i am running right now is phpbb3 3.0.4 with modphpbb3.. i missed using the IntegraMod141 and learned to live with the CT by renaming and etc.. but most of 2008 i switched to nuke evolution extreme ( which was relatively new..and had hidden exploits whcih was soon discovered..and haters compromized and defaced it) seeing this site was like memory lane, and noticed i beleive here is as stated on the portal phpBB3 3.0.4 & some new portal Stargate Portal 1.0.0 ...but reading along this section above..and dated last may ( june now..) no releases of this platform of IM3.. hope to see it come about soon..
