PostAuthor: MadUser » Sun Oct 08, 2006 4:52 am

Hi.

since I moved my site to another host,
my ACP home page has vanished.

no error page, just blank page (the menu bar is there and everything is working beside that..... I think).

can someone tell me what is the name of the file that suppose to be there?

When you moved all your files check that you did actually move ALL of them, I know its sound silly but sometimes on a mass file transfer some files get missed, Also check that not only do you have the same filenames but those filenames are the same size, because sometimes what happens is that a file uploads but no actual data is transfered.

Have you moved the database over fine and checked config.php to reflect any database changes.

Have you changed URL aswel as host if so check in phpmyadmin for the config table.

Also could it be a cookie problem there is a cookie.php file somewhere thats checks your cookie settings in the database and sets it to the correct settings might be worth a try.

This is exactly why I am asking this question.
since i moved my site, lots of the files got grown with empty lines.
i fixed several of them allready. but i can't check all the files one by one. to much work......
so i am asking which file holds the ACP index page.

This all will depend on what mods you have done unless you backed up your entire root directory before the switch.

If so, from the backed up root files, just reupload the entire admin folder and language folder seperately. Don't do both at once. If this doesn't work post back here and we'll start breakin through the tree to fix this problem.

Frost

Edit: You could do just one file, but the odds of that file being the only one with missing content is slim, thats why you should always do an entire folder. Better safe then sorry so you don't have problems down the road.

Hi

The file that shows on the right side of your admin panal for the index is ADMIN/Index.php

Is that what you are after..?

I dont think so
i need only the home page.
the index.php holds lots of things.
the index.php is working just fine i think.
but i dont know which page holds only the home page.
you know, the page with integranews, phpbb version checker, online users,
statistics about users and post per day... the home page!!

its so wired
i replaced all the admin/moduls files,
i replaced the admin/index.php file,
all with a new files from im140bb21.
i tried two different templates.
still the acp home page is blank!! (the right main frame)

i guess that there is a php file in the admin folder that does the work, but i cant find it....

I have this problem as well, no new mods , no changes at all have been done. All the sub pages work, it seems to be just the one when u select admin index.

I have restored the amin/index.php file from a back up and that has made no difference., its across several templates including the F1 subice

the exact error i get is
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

Im not sure what to try next so any ideas?

cheers
