ok some of the members and myself are having a problem logging in and the only way to do it is to clear cache and cookies is there a way to fix this?

Are you getting an error message???

If so what does it say???

no errors just refreshes the loginpage.

what version and what updates have you installed? Was it working ok before you updated, or changed anything?

This sounds like a cookie issue.

In ACP / General Admin / Configuration


Cookie domain: this field is blank

Cookie name]this can be anything (one word)[/color]

Cookie path: /

Cookie secure]Disabled[/color] (unless you are using SSL)

Session length [seconds] 3600

i have 1.40 updated to phpbb 2.0.21
phpBB Security 1.0.3 and im not sure if this problem happed before the updates because i updated all that before i even had people join

I've got the same problem with the same version and no mods related to login or users installed <img>

i was also thinking cookies, but i wanted to rule out any obvious probs. There is a cookieMOD in the dl section that wil automaticly select the best cookie settings for your site.

I had the same problem after updating. After running the cookie mod and making sure your members clear there cookies and internet cache it now works like a dream <img>
