ok, first off something that i have not yet done is transfer the domain from the registrar to my host (i am currently forwarding the url to the site IP address).

Im not sure why but when i do certain things on the forum that ive just installed it hangs.

ie,

i go to IP.xx.xx.xx/forums and it brings up the forum as it should (if i type Mysite.com/forums it displays "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" )

i click the login button - it takes me to the login details which i then enter i click log in. it then transfers to Mysite.com/forums/login.php and hangs ( displays "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" )

i go back to IP.xx.xx.xx/forums and i am logged in.

the same happens when i go to admin / logout / memberlist / messages and maybe more. Profile/usergroups appear to work without issues.

I have similar issues with the phpBB original forum.

could this be to do with me not transfering the domain or is my server just not good enough ??

you need to have the domain pointed to your ip, then run cookieMOD from the dl section here.
