On the register page, is there a way to disable the 'Rules' field, so people do not have to check the box saying the read the rules.

This is causing me problems on some of the themes i wanna use, and the rules section won't show unless I use the default theme. So I'd rather remove it completly since its not really needed.

I have never donr this, but it should work

go to ACP/PCP/pcp wizard

at the top, youll see "Select a Page"
scroll to
"Profile>>Profile>>YOUR Profile>>Registration information"
choose "select"
from the right colum scroll to the bottom
click on "user rules"
now in the center of the page click the left arrows to remove it
Click submit.
That should be it. let me know how it goes.

well i managed to figure it out before you posted, so i haven't tried your method.

Heres what i did:
go into ACP -> Configuration + (General Admin)
Profile Options -> Registration Information
In the rules section i check the box and set override user choices: to yes and then submit. So far this has been working for me.

I had to use the Subice theme so the rules section would show in the ACP. I've noticed in the Slateb theme that i use, that where the rules section should be there is an empty table. Since the rules section is in a new table this could be the problem. I don't know if it would be a problem in the CSS file but w/e
