When I try to set up an Announcements block for the portal page, I get this error:

I replaced fetchposts.php with the newest version from IM141 as well, I'm not sure whats going on. Anyone have any idea?

Did you have the Announces Suite intalled on your board before updating? Can you post a global announcement?

Global announcements work fine, and I didnt have an announces suite installed before I updated. The only thing I had was IM Portal for PHPBB, instead of the whole IMmod.

EDIT: I ran into another problem. I installed the Group Color mod from this website, and now the groups that were set as moderators aren't showing up right. Instead of saying Moderator: Forum Mods, it says Moderator: username_color_

EDIT2: Forget the above edit. I removed the Group Color mod, it wasn't necessary anyway. Still having trouble with the announcements though. Help!

Can you set forum permission in the ACP without any problems?

Thought I would try to set up an announcement block after reading this post to see if it would work for me. I was never able to get it ot work in 140 and it wont work for me either. All I get is the titlebar and no announcements. I am able to set forum permissions with no problem. I set it up on my testing page if you want to see how it looks Teelk

Do you maybe have to resync for the announcements to show up or will it only look for announcements made after the block was added.

When I enable the announcements block, I dont just not get the announcements, I cant even access the portal page. Teelk is checking into my database values to make sure they are correct, he hasn't gotten back to me about it yet though.

i also am having a problem with announcements in that I have the announcements block in the portal page, and created a post as an announcement, but it does not appear in the Announcements block at all.

yes this is one issue i would like to see addressed. I would love to have the announcement block working on my portal page.

Go to ACP>IM Portal>Portal Configuration, set the appropriate forum id's to pull the announcements from, "Announcements Forum ID(s)".

Everyone else, check that this field has information in it as well please. This field being empty or incorrect will return that sql error.

Still doesn't work, after I checked that info. The Forum ID for where it was pulling the announcements was 1 (my News section) and I checked in the database too and it said the forum id for "News" was 1, so that is set right..

God now for my stupid questoin of the day. ok I checked my forum id's and it currently has only a "0". So if I wanted to add a forum I enter the forum id. Now when I hover over a forum I see forum id as "f40" should I enter the f also and should multiple forums be seperated by commas

See if any other announcement field is blank. It should be the forum id though, that's what the sql error you posted is telling me. It's the query before t.topic_time which is the forum_id.
