Adding custom fields to registration form?

I am very surprised that this mod hasn't been included yet?
I am trying to add a custom field to the registration process i.e. experience level which requires check boxes.

You can do this for the download feature so including a custom field for when uploading a file but not for the main site i.e. to the registration form? <img>

Does anybody know the procedure for inserting new fields?

You can add extra input fields for registration.

Check the Profile Controle Panel in your ACP. I can't tell you the correct procedure right now, because I also have to look into it. But you can take a look your self already.

Maybe someone else who is more experienced in working with PCP can give you a clue
