Anyone knows how is the user points (displayed under the user's profile on the left) calculated.
Also what is it used for?

If I remember right, you can edit the values.
You get points for posts
Points for the number of characters
Maybe points for starting thread and replying.
Points are useful if using the game mod.
I had setup the game mod to cost 100 points to play each game.
If the user ran out, they could get more points by posting more, or somebody else donating them points.
Great way to get prople to be more active if they want to play.
