Duck Tape doesn't fix Avatars! [Solved]

PostAuthor: Valor54 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:03 am

While trying to fix avatars not showing for some people I search around and found this "fix"
http://www.integramod.com/forum/viewtop ... =18&t=5551
Avatars are set to display by default when "Display my web information" is selected. If you want them to display all the time regardless,
First check your chmods for PCP
666 profilcp/functions_profile.php
777 profilcp/def
666 profilcp/def/def_userxxxxxx.php

Then go to
acp/P.C.P./PCP Wizard/Alter Page Display
the first page you should see is"Profile>>Public>>Base Info>>Avatar"
where it says"Display When:" set it to "Display Always"

Unfortunately I now have more problems and I cant undo what I did.
on top of my site are these messages
Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/content/18/6242218/html/profilcp/functions_profile.php on line 1031

The wizard used is broken and filled with those too.

To top it all off, now no one can see avatars or anything related to that side box where the avatar, region, age etc would go.

On a side note:
How do I make it so the site images work just the same as http://www.mysiteexample.com. It seems they break when you skip out on the "www.".

Tried doing auto validate. Fixed the front page from displaying those messages at top but im still getting them in some areas such as the auto validate area.

This is what i get after clicking on it to auto correct.
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/content/18/6242218/html/admin/admin_pcp_wizard.php on line 307

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/content/18/6242218/html/admin/admin_pcp_wizard.php on line 307

Warning: array_multisort() [function.array-multisort]: Argument #1 is expected to be an array or a sort flag in /home/content/18/6242218/html/admin/admin_pcp_wizard.php on line 160

EDIT:
Heres a Screen Shot of what the validation looks like

one or more of your pcp cache files was corrupted. this is usually easy to fix but you will loose your modifications.
First rename functions_profile.php to _functions_profile.php
it is located at forum root/profilcp/functions_profile.php
Then rename the def folder to _def
It is located in the same location as functions_profile.

Upload the attached files and chmod functions_profile.php and all the files inside the def folder to 666. chmod the def folder to 777
empty forum root/cache of all files except .htaccess and index.html

Everything seems fine now, except one thing I have noticed. I can not say it wasn't like this before hand as this is my first time venturing into this area since the problem started.
Most of the PCP wizard is looking good, however "backup" is displaying a large amount of warnings

Other then that, is it safe for me to edit the "user_avatar" in PCP Wizard as stated in the above linked, first post, or is this method obsolete and the reason I'm in this?

On a side note: It would be nice to know how you expanded your quote box to be more larger.

Guests and other users are still unable to view Avatars, except their own.

ok, it looks like the display html is missing for the avatar field.

upload the def files from my previous post

then go to acp/PCP/PCP Wizard/Alter Page Display/
where it says "user_avatar", check the box "Img:"
in the HTML Style box add
Code: Select all
<span>%s</span>

where it says "Display When:" select display always
submit

Doing so brings me back to my original problem and I then had to redo the previous fix.
