table names / think we got extra's

Ever since I can member our DB has had a bunch of extra tables, never questioned it till now. only the phpBB tables are whats used right?

Do I have a bunch of unneeded tables, no clue where they came from if so.

yes, unless you specify for the install to use a different table prefix, it will use phpbb_ and it will not mix prefixes. Some mods do not adhere to this standard though so the other tables are probably from mods you added to your 132 or 140 sites

Well I have no idea where those came from, I never did much with the 132-140 forum, I left them as is stock, never even installed more skins. To limit the chance of fouling things up. Which might explain why I don't know as much as I should by now, as I kinda just left things along to their own devices.

Thats always why I chose IM, lots of cool mods with little skill to get up and running <img>
