open your fisubice_black.css and look for [ topbkg ] .. change the colour

this is how mine is:

.topbkg{background: #000000}

Did that unregistered and it's sort of half way there if you know what i mean

make a backup of ur css and try this..
open fisubice_black.css
FIND
[code]/* This is the gradient background at the top of the page */.topbkg{background]

REPLACE
[code]/* This is the gradient background at the top of the page */.topbkg{background]

Unlike you unregistered, I've decided not to get rid of the banner tag and I'm using both top left and right of the overall_header.

Here's another question <img> , How do I make the banner so it's NOT clickable?

u want to remove the link?
if you wonna remove the link then look for

{U_PORTAL}

from the overall header.. and remove it..
but in my site, its {U_INDEX} coz am not using index as the default page..
or u can open it via the design mode (from your editor) and jus remove the hyperlink
