How is it all going to continue with the project?

PostAuthor: looser9 » Sat Dec 26, 2009 5:07 pm

Hi guys,

I was once again scanning the site for updates but yet there is not really anything new!

I don ´t know if I ´m sort of late by trying to point at this but I am wondering where the project is going?
Does IM 3 have a future or do we have to keep running on 1.41 which got a little bit insecure over the last few months?

What ´s it all about this Stargate Portal...do we have to convert back to phpbb and then the most recent version of it and extra install the Stargate Portal?
btw...how would it actually work to convert the IM 1.41 back to phpbb?

Yours, looser9

IM3 is in beta testing and it does have a future, stargate portal will be a part of the package. If you can use a localhost setup I think helter has opened up the beta down load, you can set up a test install on localhost and have a look for yourself. <img>

I'm sure helter will have some update paths or at least a tutorial posted for upgrades once he's happy everything is looking good.

Ive recently had a hd hiccup that resulted in boot sector corruption and rendered my current hd useless. Im still working on recovering data from it. This will set me back a little in completing the latest version that has the calendar and shoutbox integrated. Once that is done and the birthday bug is solved, ill open up the beta to our members.

On a brighter note... Ive always built my own computers with THE main emphasis on gaming, but since I dont have time for gaming much anymore, I finally broke down and bought a retail computer that Im hoping will remain stable and since it is preloaded with Windows7, I wont have to deal with the headache of upgrading! <img>
It remains to be seen though if my Photoshop CS3 and Macromedia FireworksMX will run on it. I would hate to have to buy these again and I don't like the new FireworksCS4 as well as my old friend MX.

Since my Dell 1950 server (hosting this site, forumimages and stargate-portal) has been rock solid for over a year, I decided to give Dell another go for my desktop.

Thanks for the info <img>

I hope that there is going to be an upgrade function for the previous Integramods, so that I can update my 1.41 directly to it?

I currently have Centos5-64 on my server, Centos5-32 on my laptop and freebsd on my home file/print server, but for a desktop with the latest hardware, drivers can still be an issue. I know there are generic drives for almost all hardware, but emulation takes it toll on system performance.
