i would like a users backup function included in the integramod project. every time i change forums, or when i screwe up modding a forum, its very troublesome for users to re-register

I think this is an obvious case of backup your forums and don't test on a live site. If you would rather have testing on sit that your users can see then your best bet is to have a stable forum and a second forum that you can link the user tables with.
