OK here is the deal

I have been trying to get the BlogMod hosted here on this site to work with IM141 for about 1 month and -well - to be honest - CrackerTracker does not like the mod and it is a pain to get working.

I have found a Blog Mod that fits my needs and I thought I might post a link about it here for everyone.

The install takes only about 5 minutes and you DO NOT HAVE MODIFY ANY IM 141 FILES.

To see the Mod in action go to my test site

The link to the Blog is on the left under Main Navigation - or click here.

Basically all you have to do to make a post in the blog mod is to create a forum and make a post in that forum. Set the forum so that only Admins can start a post - then all of the comments are folks making replies to your post.

It is a rather simple mod but it has some real possibilities. The Blog page itself can be edited using HTML letting you spruce it up. It also has a RSS Feature.

here is a link to the blog mod author and author's site.

Now What I was wondering - can any of you help me figure out a way to display this blog in the portal instead of a page by itself?

Other than that I think it is exactly what I have been looking for.

Anyway - please let me know what you guys think and let me know if this blog page can be displayed inside the portal.

Thanks
Clay

Try using the Blank Page mod. thats what I use to integrate stand alone mods to my websites. It works great.

Search for it on phpBB. If you cant turn it up, post back and I may have a copy of it. It may even be located here. Im not real sure.

Yep you are going to have to edit the blog page and either add a link back to your forum or change the home link to go back to portal.php
