Hi I look for a Mod that makes it possible to offer downloads that have to be paid probably via paypal I know there is a shop mod but I don't know exaclty the functions and did not found an install or infos about that here.

Help would be nice.

I'm pretty sure 1.4.0 comes w/paypal. You could set up your paypal subscriptions w/your usergroups, and change your permissions in pafiledb to private. You wouldn't be able to charge per download, but you could create subscription periods like X amount of money = 1 month of downloads. Just a suggestion <img>

You can create a subcategory for each download to pay for,
and a group for each category to have access to...

I've been looking for something similar...
I would like to know who has downloaded something from the download area and at what time, nothing more...

Found it's method is to make a subscription group. then that group are alloed to download from a specific section of the downloads. But this way, there is not an ability to pay for individual downloads, unless you have a group for each download or genre.

Thanks A. This would be a work around but no real solution. Probably I will solve this by integrating OSCommerce or something else.
