The "Who Is Online" text on the index

PostAuthor: Jacky » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:27 pm

Hello,

I am in the course of porting SwiftBlue. No, I am just playing with it, to test my new experiment.

OK, so far so good. Everything went according to my wishes, but the "Who Is Online" text on the index is not.

I would like to know what to edit in the CSS to fix that.

I tried meddling with "td.cat" but it's still the same.

I tried many methods but all of them did not work.

I replaced the td.cat with the FI Subice's one, and now the "Who Is Online" text became bold and bigger than normal.

In addition, at Admin Index, the Version Information's texts and other texts are appearing too big. I checked the source and I assume it's td.row1.

Also, the Board Navigation blocks and other blocks are having borders, but not the "New Topic" images. I checked FI Subice Blue and it doesn't have the borders, so I guess the problem is not caused by the IM Portal settings.

Below is my CSS, if you are interested:
Code: Select all

The who_is_online is class subtitle...
There is a difference between .cat and td.cast
Where .cat is a class , td.cat is a .cat class insite a td
This allows yo to modify .cat if it occurs insde a tabledata (td) but not in all browsers...

In your case 'Who is Online' is controlled by...
[code]  .subtitle,h2{font]
18px is very big... I never use text this big!

I used the FI Subice's subtitle class and copy it over to my style.

Since FI Subice's "Who is Online" isn't very big, how come mine is too big?

Any suggestions?

.subtitle,h2{font:bold 18px/180% "Trebuchet MS",Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
text-decoration:none}

In CSS everything is proportional to the table in which it appears... This text will be 180% of the text size defined for the table it appears in.... try 120% also some browsers don't support 18px/180% use either 18px or 180% etc.

Hmm I will try and look at that.

But the words in my Admin Panel are quite big.

Could it be .subtitle too?

The words that are big includes the Version Information block.

See if yuo can find any text using a percentage greater that 140% and reduce it... Some people like real big text I like 10,12,14 px anything else seems to be over the top <img>
