ctracker error when setting up forums

PostAuthor: jae » Sat Apr 04, 2009 3:46 am

HI

Long time since I have used this software so cant remember how i fixed this last time.

Wheneve i try to set up a forum I get the following error, I know it is probably a setting i have wrong but just cant remember which.

SECURITY ALERT » » » »
CBACK CrackerTracker has detected a potential attack on this site with a worm or exploit script so the Security System stopped the script.

If you can see this page after including a new MOD into your board or after clicking on a link please contact the Board Administrator with this error message and a description what you have done before you could see this page, that the Admin has the possibility to fix the problem.

Thanks

jae

Go in FTP in to /ctracker/engines/ct_security.php

Open file to edit.

Look for:

define('CT_DEBUG_MODE', false);

Change false to true and close and save.
Upload file if it wasn't uploaded already.

Go back to your forum and recreate the CT Error message.
Once you see the error again, go to ACP>CrackerTracker>Logmanager

View Debug Entries and perform the suggested fix.

When done the fix, do the action again that gave you the error and should be ok now.
Remember to do the first steps to turn debug mode off.
