[SOLVED]Navigation block additons

PostAuthor: Coroner » Thu Jun 25, 2009 11:31 am

Hello again!
I hope there's a simple solution for the task I want to accomplish.
I have installed User CP Organize 1.0.5 and with some work I have it working great so far in the default template. A while back I added a second navigation box and named it Menu. This is what I have inside:
Code: Select all
<table><tr><td><span class="genmed" style="line-height]
The top line sends you to the original profile page but I want to replace it with this:
[code]<a><img>{L_CPL_NAV}</a>

I'm guessing that I need to add or change the block variables but I have no clue how to do this or even if it's possible. I have attached the mod to this post for your review.

Please let me know and like always, thank you so much for all your efforts and continued support.

what is the link for u_cpl? is this a local file or a web url?
if you just want it to point to the original link, you can use {U_PROFILE}

I must have something wrong in the settings because I get the "page can't be found" error if I use any variables such as {U_CPL}, {L_CPL_NAV} and {U_PROFILE}. Right now I have This:
[code]# <td><span class="genmed" style="line-height]

I've attached the mod for you to review. Also so your account is still active if you don't mind taking a look first hand...

Please let me know.

if your running IntegraMOD, this wont work because the profile info is handled by PCP.

if your not running PCP or IntegraMOD, there is nothing in the install that should pose a problem.

Profile control Panel mod is a different mod then the one I attached above. I have tried many, many code options but still can't get it to work. If I put any code containing brackets such as "{L_CPL_NAV}" it brings a blank 404 page?

One would think that all I have to do is place the code:
Code: Select all
    1. <a><img>{L_CPL_NAV}</a>

an it would work just like it does in the overall_header.tpl but it doesn't?

I freaked out and did what I thought wouldn't work by adding this to the "Menu" block navagation line:
[code]http]
It now looks like this:
[code]<img> <a href="http]

I didn't realize that my having the actual url in the command line that it would take me to the correct place and seeing how only registered users can see the "Menu" box then it really didn't matter.

So it's all fixed and running smoothly.

Thanks one again for all your efforts and support.
