I'm real sure it was "I have removed the install dir" click to continue. I can blow away the database and reinstall later this evening if it is necessary.

When it states "I have removed the install directory" It is basically stating that you have manually removed the install directory and are ready to proceed.

Does that make sense? <img>

The install does not remove the directory for you.

It makes sense now but the wording threw me off. Maybe it should say. "Remove the install directory than click to continue". I recall plain old phpBB doing something like that.

Downloaded the RC2 edition from Fubie's site, unzipped it and FTP'd to server.

Changed permissions but was unable to find "modules/cache/explain, so obviously couldn't change that to 777

In the install menu browser there is NO selection for MySQL5 The DataBase drop down menu only has 3XX and 4XX. (had to choose somethig so chose MySQL4)

[color=red]Originally had error listed here...but it was operator error <img>

From the beginning of development 1.4.1 has had the following database selections; MySQL 3.x, MySQL 4.x/5.x, MySQL 4.x/5.x /w MySQLi.

The fact that you only have 3 and 4 to choose from confuses me quite a bit, as RC2 is a recent copy of the SVN BETA(latest dev version)...

Can anyone else confirm this? Something very strange must have happened if those database choices are missing.

Should mention that the Knowledge Base MOD was updated to the latest and has a bunch more features to play with.

Outstanding! I had tried integrating this last year on my own and found it to be quite buggy, but it seems to be working well at this point. Well done!

Looking good for me no install issues at all.

Only one problem, I can't seem to be able to post news?

What exactly is stopping you? Are you getting errors? or is it not showing up?

Now, as I've had a bit of time to play, a few Q's / thoughts:

- Setting the IM Portal to use a different right hand column width (I chose 160) appears not to have any effect.

- How easy is it to translate a working IM 140 theme to 141? As far as I can see the only difference is with the message editor and that looks very complex to convert over. Asking as I installed my current BBLite modiifcation and it worked excepting the editor.

- Suggested additional Mods: M2F and SmartFeed - both viable and easy to integrate useful Mods.

- Mini-Mod: En forum it was discussed that Debug mode could easily be turned on/off via the ACP. Might be useful to build it in.

- Love the new Mac style Integra theme, when we migrate I'm hoping that we can use a variant of this using green or grey instead of the blue. Mind you I might be brave and try to design our own custom theme - if a decent tutorial is made available.

I just hope the migration process works well! We'll be looking to do a test move over a sI hav some custom BBCodeds I'll have to add in before we can transfer as well as relocating some of the banners.

Basically very impressed so far guys!

Well I added in my custom BBCode which uses the Table BBCode only to find that of course that the code is already in there and incompatible.

So I need to know how to change the new Table code to use TableN (for Table New. I tried to change it last night but it screwed up royally, so is there an easy way to change that new code without removing it totally.

Reason is I can't change the code we use as it is used extensively in over 98 reviews on the live site.

Any ideas?

Installed RC2... Went perfectly note I did not install Prill...

A note re the with of the right blocks. In portal_body for any theme it uses the following code...
Code: Select all
<td>

however I change it to...
Code: Select all
<td> OR<td>

As I never use the footer blocks, this allows setting of the right blocks in ACP
Even if you use footer blocks it is probably worth changing the portal_body to the first option in all themes as most often people use the same width on header and right blocks...

When selecting [Printable version] for a KB article, the formatting is botched in that the output text is centered in entirety.
