Validate PCP Files caused me issues.

PostAuthor: Allen » Sun Jun 01, 2008 7:20 pm

I followed another set of instructions to remove the post count and age. When I was done I told the system to validate the pcp files...

BIG MISTAKE

Ouch,,,, it worked but when validated the pcp files I had problems...... header warnings. and all the left view topic was erased from the site.

I had to restore the first backup to correct the issues.
Really nice to have that backup... started to stress..

Is there a tutorial or instruction book for pcp somewhere so i dont screw up again???

OMG, I crashed my PCP...... I no longer have anything listed in available fields or selected fields..

My site is currently disabled due to the PCP issue.

I thought I could remove the email button from the user field and when I hit submit I lost all available and selected fields.

I tried copying the

admin_pcp_userfields.php
admin_pcp_usermaps.php
admin_pcp_wizard.php

from a prevoius backup but it did not help...

HELP ME PLEASE

I even tried using a previous back up of the user fields and maps but that did not help either. I am so beside myself....

If you eddited the pcp and it went wrong, just place a backup of the /profilcp/def directory back.
As specially the def_userfields.php, def_userfields_phpbb.php and the def_usermaps.php.

These files are used by the pcp mod

Do not tsunami my inbox... instead use the forums...
Hard work may not kill me, but why take a chance?

Thank you Obiku, I was really sweating bullets here.

I was just coming back to say I replaced the entire profilecp folder and everything is back to normal.

Obiku, If I would not have come to this conclusion myself you would have been a LIFESAVER!

Thank you so much for responding as fast as you have. You are a true credit to this website.
