All mods that have security issues are usually updated right away. Maybe not to full updated versions, but at least enough to apply the security fix.
Here is the thing about IM; anyone can stack mods on top of each other, but you end up with a mix of conflicting mods that sometimes work and sometimes dont. Alot of the mods you see in IM are not installed as per the install directions or they would not work. They have been "Integrated", so updating them is no simple task. Not for anyone.
very true. Unless the new version of a mod has major security fixes or new features that you just really want, it might not be worth the upgrade.
