My backup folder is completely empty, although I get the PM notification that the back was successful every day... So where is my backup going?

i remember now
last few weeks ago, my hosting got problem with the kernel. so they decided to disable the execute function for security reason.

i ask the hosting admin since the admin is my good friend. so i think to remind everybody if this occurs maybe theycan check to the hosting admin about the execute permission.

I just checked my backup folder & its stopped working for me aswell & from what i can see it stopped working on about the same time the host sent me this email to me

PHPSuexec has been enabled

so for now i have disabled it & doing manual backups

yes, this has happened to others, though i do not recall if it was due to one of the updates, or a webhost setting change. You should find info on this subject using the search forum function

i did make the backup folder, and it was running and showing me that the backup list was made.

but now, the list never update, always the same list and same date and time. so i assume something must went wrong.

is it happen to anybody before?

your root/backup is where you should find your backups kept and it should be chmod to 777

(root/backup is the same place you would find root/admin FYI)

If you do not have this folder then you can easily add it, but make sure that it is the same name as in the security setting in your admin section...

hi,

i just wonder why my phpbb security automatic backup stop doing automatic backup? even i make new folder and set permission to 777, seem to be not function at all. but when i login with admin account, i have message saying that backup finish.

so it is the automatic backup still working? where will be the backup save? i couldnt found any backup file.
