I use WinRAR 3.5
(probably not the latest, but works fine with me)
Haven't tried anything else yet! But I still do have the original downloaded file! So I can try to unzip it with WinZip if you like, to see if that makes the difference.

My host does not use CPanel, it uses HSP Complete Control Panel. I have in the past zipped files to *.tar.gz so i can upload them an unpack them on the site. I have had a few issues where everything unzipped to lowercase and lost all formatting, so this is strange but not impossible. What prog are you using to unzip? All the files here were done with the latest WinZip

Very strange. I just downloaded it again and It is capitolized inside the zip
I unziped it with Winzip, Alpha-zip and WinRar. All the same. Unzipped to "AcidTech"

Yes, I got it from here. The Theme here is called AcidTech (as it should be)
But the content of the zip file is in the folder "acidtech"... without the capitals, and this will not be working if you upload it and leave it without the capitals.

I run a Win2k3 server... and it is very sensitive to case sensitive stuff! The .cfg files all specify AcidTech... not acidtech. Therefore without changing the capitals of the foldername, i can't find the theme to install it. I had to change it first.

That's what I'm trying to say!

are you sure you got that version here? The one in the dl section is AcidTech
Only the zip say acidtech because it does not display capitols. I even dl'd it and double checked. I am not familiar with a version using lowercase letters

As a general rule and allowing for Linux and Windows servers I try to keep template name lower case with no spaces... It avoids lots of errors later...

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that in order to get the "acidtech" theme to work, you must rename the folder from "acidtech" to "AcidTech", otherwise it's not found by the board and you can't install it.
Or you have to edit the (i think it was) theme_info.cfg to make it "acidtech" and maybe even the AcidTech*.cfg files. Not sure anymore which are important for the board to recognize it.
But it's a whole lot quicker to simply change the folder name

(maybe worth chaning the foldername in the zipped file that is for download?)
