You installed it with the IM install...that or Adrian orignanlly did. I thought yours was a fresh install for the most part but I don't recall. Not sure which but I assure you I didn't install it but I do like the mod.

sorry Tom , didnt see your post. I dont think there is a bug, but I know ppl have had difficulty setting it up. We are not acually using the mod here.

Mine isn't working. So far I have had three donations one being myself to make sure it worked. I got the email notification on all three donations but I had to manually add the donors. I have this installed on another site (not IM) which it works perfectly. Is there a bug that I need to address in this?

Well, that would explain why I cant see it... cant send money to myself, so I never get to that part.

I had a friend test it, and voila, the field is there... he even called me a &*&(*^&* head in it, showing me it works =)

the additional message field is on the paypal site. When users follow the link to paypal, they will have the option to add this info. It will show up in the email paypal sends you, confirming they have sent you $$

Thats just it... I dont SEE an additional message field even though I put the option in there....

To be honest I have not really used the donations mod. I can see it could be a problem unless you can match donation amil addreesses to user's addresses and this would be by doing a search in phpmyadmin. There should be and easier way. You could ask users to comment in the paypal additional message option.

oh, it wasnt that I havent used the portal pages, but rather that I had to custom code pages that didnt use the IM Portal pages... so, instead of doing that, I had to re-aquaint myself with the portal system.

But, thanks for the link to the KB. I am sure there is 'something' in there I will find extremely helpful....

hmm, maybe you can still help me though. Using the same setup you have here, I am having trouble linking donations to the people making them.

unless those people email me with the TXID, I cannot link who made the donation to a user account easily (it seems).

Before you make a suggestion, I do NOT want to use lwdonors unless I have to... it is very blecht looking.

Meh, nevermind. I just made my own using the IMPortal pages. The entire rest of my site doesnt use the IMPortal page feature, so it was new to me =)

I was wondering if the donors template you guys are using here is a custom mod you dont plan on releasing, or if I can get the templates/blocks to add them to my site. Much more professional looking that the current LWDonors stuff
