Will future versions be XHTML compliant?

Currently, looking at IntegraMOD's website there are 729 errors when running the site through the validator. [url=http]Source...[/url]

Are there any ways to resolve the validation issues on personal websites, or is that best left to the next build/release of IntegraMOD?

So what's the word? I'm interested to hear what's going on with this, if anything.

Wait till 2.0 is released and then am sure a couple of peopel can go through correcting errors. I will volunteer now <img>

you will be hard pressed to find any website, or page for that matter that will pass that test, especially an interactive site written in php or asp. Dont believe me? make a basic page using dreamweaver, or any web authoring software, optomise it using its own built in optimising function, then test it on the same wc3 site. I can almost garantee errors. Most ppl use these programs because they make pages that work and dont care about errors that dont affect the appearance and function of the site. It is common knowledge the these programs write bad code. Integramod is a combination of mods written bt many ppl using many such programs.
Also, if we were to fix every single error so it conforms 100% to wc3 standards I believe we would have multiple display issues. Many of these so called errors are intentionally written in an attempt to get pages to display the same in both FF and IE

I've used Dreamweaver to create side pages in both HTML and PHP on my personal website. So, I don't believe you at all, because I recently used Dreamweaver to make several pages in PHP and got them to 100% XHTML validity. To date, Dreamweaver has not created a page for me that has not passed the W3C standards. Try updating, that may be your issue.

I have just tested some sites on that validator:

Well, at least [url=http]http://validator.w3.org[/url] seems to pass this test without problems...
Oh, and also http://www.w3schools.com passed their test...

I'm not saying that this validator isn't worth anything...
In fact, I think it's a wonderfull tool to find and correct certain problems...
But it's like going to a shop with a list of items you wanna buy,
if you buy the last thing on the list first, you can still get home with everyting you need...only, you didn't follow the list in the right order...and that would be a problem?? For some people, it would...

I would say pages not properly validating is a big problem. When pages do not validate properly in XHTML or CSS, this causes the page load times to increase.

When everything is valid it allows pages to load much faster.

i have yet to see evidence of this and if it was true then google, yahoo etc would ensure 0 errors.

Yes, it would be nice to make them faster...
Sometimes my forum is very fast...but many times very slow...
So to me, ...it's only logical*, that this has nothing to do with the code itself...
(*it just can't be fast sometimes, if the slowdown is caused by bad code)

It's my server that slows down my site,
and mostly caused by some bad SQL connection over there...
I do have a bad server-host I guess, it flies on another server (I've tested this on someone elses server)...

You are probably just talking about milliseconds what speed is concerned, and that wouldn't do much difference about the (sometimes many) seconds I have to wait when my server is slow...
And when my server is fast, I don't see any problems in speed, it's fast enough to me...
OK, maybe that's just because I still use an AMD XP2000+

Also the speed of your ISP can make more difference, for that I'm lucky, I have a cable connection

With so many speed-factors, what difference does a millisecond make???
