Hello all. I recently switched server and had loads of trouble. all is well now BUt whn i dumped my database to run the site, not everything is working. All I did was open it in word pad and copy paste in the database query box. Not correct im sure. Is there a better way to do it?

if your db is small enough, that should work fine. Your problems are most likey caused by file permissions, or incorrect urls in your db phpbb_config. Try running cookie mod. It will fix most of the dir probs. You will still have to go through and look for old dir references

My Db is like 3.5 megs I dont think thats bad ehh? Im querying the Db from phpMyAdmin directly and not the user Db in ACP.

I fixed all the links in the Db prior to dumping data in the Db. The issue is, in some of my tables, the items and data are there, its just not reflecting the changes on submit and does not show up on site. It s kind of like the good ol problem in phpBB Security when you install it and go to set your admins and Mods and it wont save the info. it defaults back to 1 admin 0 mods.......

Hope that helped some. My methods of explanation tend to s*ck from time to time. <img>
