What was done to try to solve the problem?

For some reason when you click the quote button at the top of a post and then post it, the quote doesn't appear as a quote. It appears as BBCode in the post. But when you use the Quick Quote button at the bottom of the post, everything works fine.

I don't have any ideas on where to look or what to do about it. Could it have something to do with Advanced BBCode Box? I'm running v6.0.0

Ok I've just found that 'Disable HTML in this post' and 'Disable Smilies in this post' options are both checked by default. How can I un-check them by default?
