C'mon, help a newbie! I'll be your best friend

I've had Integra 1.4.0 for all of two weeks now....and it's been [the good kind of] hell, since I had to learn everything from scratch [I've used Google more in the last two weeks than my entire existance <img>]

I want that. How can I do it? I've got my RSS and my news thing all set up, and it updates. But I can't set it to autodetect or whatever that nifty little function is. I looked in the KB and learned a few things, but nothing to help me with this situation.

Secondly, and I know this has nothing to do with here, per se, but I registered like, three times over at the offical IntegraMOD site, and not once did I get my confirmation email to bother them with these questions. Is the site not accepting new registration or what? It wasn't in my spam folder or anything.

Finally, the album mod and such. Does the saved information get saved to the MySQL database, or is it saved to your server? Because the host I have, for some reason, will only allow you to have a MySQL-db of about 100mb.

I'm sure I can come up with more later, but hey--we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

For anyone who needs the link, its here.

Hi there,

I'm not too sure what you're looking for with that image. Do you want an RSS feed from your forum?

As for IntegraMOD.com, we wouldn't know anything about that, and right now there's some sort of server issue going on and the site is down. If it comes back up I suggest emailing Wekke, who is the head admin there.

Images uploaded to the album are uploaded to your webspace and not to the DB. Using the db to store images is a very specific need and takes up huge amounts of memory. So, there's no worry where that's concerned.

Get back to us about your first question. If it's an RSS feed you're looking for there are a few MODs out there that are looking very interesting where this is concerned and probably will generate enough interest to make it worthwhile to port.

I think what is being asked is why when the IM site is visited or sites that use IM the RSS Feed logo does not light up as it does when you visit some other forum based sites?

1) Yeah, I just want the RSS feed to work right. As it stands, yes, I have an RSS file, but I can't get the icon to show up on Firefox. I'm told that's audodetect, or autodiscover or something. I just want it to be easier for my eventual readers to easily subscribe to my RSS if they want to.

GFFB hit it right on the head.

2) I'll have to just email wekke@integramod.com, cause other than being logged in, it won't let you contact him elsewise.

3) Thanks.

And a fourth question--is it possible to add ALT+S capabilites into the quick reply box? I notice it's everywhere but.

Which version of IntegraMOD are you using? IM 1.4.0 doesn't have a link to the RSS feed other then the one in Board Navigation. You could put one in the news block itself with the RSS image.

Sorry, what does ALT+s do?

I'm using 1.4.0.

Alt+S "sends" whatever message you're typing.

This might shed a little light on DD's RSS feeds question
Some web browsers (e.g. Safari, Firefox, OmniWeb) and RSS reader apps can auto-detect feeds on a site by checking for an alternate link with type "application/rss+xml" in the <head> section of your web page, similar to this:

<link>

Sorry, I got the flu. I felt like the waking dead.

Yes, GFFB, that's exactly my problem.
