OK, I want to move the Navigation block to the right side, and my stuff on the right side to the left side.

However I do not want the stuff I had on the right side which is now on the left side to show all the time, just on the portal.

Plus when I put the nav block in the footer and do system wide footer block, on the right side it leaves a space between my center block and the footer block for the right block. I just basically want to move the orientation of the right side block over to the Left side.

Is this possible?

Yes you need to change your portal page template to Layout1.tpl
To do this goto ACP - IM Portal - Page Management - Edit the page ID you are using and choose layout1.tpl
This will give you header center and footer no other blocks.

OK, but what about the left side not being visible in the forum area? I just want to see it on the portal.

Can you do that?

Yes got ACP - Importal - Portal Config and look for the setting "enable system wide portal header" turn this off, this should now look how you want it.

This does not do what I want it to. It makes either the header or footer completely disappear for the portal and the forum. I just want it to hide in the forum.

Like if a left bar was created like the right one is on the portal_body.tpl

Is that possible?

Ok, I have made a tpl and a cfg file that aloows for a left bar instead of a right.

So if anybody is interested in that I can post it or something.

You can see this in action. That way you can read your forum from left to right and your nav links are on the right for you right handed people, it seems more natural.
