php issue

I had an issue with all my sites being slow to load or not loading on Saturday.
I contacted my host which said they fixed the problem and that it was a site on the shared server overloading.

I did notice at the time, looking at the server status in cPanel, that the php = failed.
Not sure what exactly that means.

Well today I got home to find all my sites suspended because they claim it's a php issue with my site.

Was wondering, if the cPanel said php=failed, is this on my end, or is it an issue with php on the hosts end?
If on my end, what am I looking for once I get access to my sites again?

I requested a more detailed reason and if possible, which site is causing the problem since I am running 2 integramod sites and 2 zencart sites.

the most difficult thing about shared servers is that they often procrastinate when it comes to os and mod updates, then they update with no warning and what may have worked perfectly well in the past now does not work. I have not found out why, but many users, including myself awhile ago experienced sql querries in the multi hundreds per page load just by updating php and apache.
Have you applied the bugfix in the "increasingly high page load time" thread? That will help your sql usage, but has little effect on php. There are a few threads here about users having similar problems due to custom browser search bars and a few chat programs. Ive also read about web hosts having difficulties due to improper seo integration and custom .htaccess files. Sorry I cant be precise, but im just mentioning the things others have reported.
Also does your robots.txt keep search bots out of your album? There are settings in your album that can cause higher server overhead and if you have bots searching album links that might cause trouble for a busy shared server.

Well seems I am looking for a new host.
My present host won't turn my sites back on because this is the third time they had to suspend my site because of php overload.

Looking at http://www.inmotionhosting.com/hostingplans.html
Going with the business class Power plan.

About the same as I was paying with the present host.
The reviews of this host look pretty good.
They have far superior support where my present host offers next to no support.

This company offers unlimited disk space and monthly transfer.
Best I have come up with so far.

OK - moved to my new host and site back up.

Still have to fix broken attachment links, images, etc.

I did notice this for page stats:
[Page generation time: 1235613945.35s (PHP: 100% | SQL: 0%) | SQL queries: 103 | GZIP enabled | Debug on] (forum page)
[Page generation time: 0.249s (PHP: 83% | SQL: 17%) | SQL queries: 59 | GZIP enabled | Debug on] (home page)

Is the php supposed to be that high?

I got a business account with unlimited space and monthly bandwith.
Only $8.95 a month. $1 more than I was paying before, but at least I am getting super support where I had none at the other host.
