I've got the IM portal working with the latest version of phpbb using php5.

my problem is when I enter the portal and click on forum in the board navigation. the portal goes away and all that's left is the forum. I'd really like for the forum to live inside the portal. between my left and right sides. (i'm using 3_column.tpl) my album does the same thing. is there a way to fix it?

Try going to ACP>IM Portal>Portal Configuration and changing "Enable system-wide portal header" to yes if it isn't...

You'll also probably need to switch layouts to portal_body.tpl in ACP>IM Portal>Page Management.

I've got both the system-wide portal header/footers enabled in my IM Portal Default.

I was wanting to keep the left and right side blocks. Will changing to portal_body.tpl lose those for me? I'm sorry to ask these probably simple questions. this is my first foray into a portal and my learning curve is pretty steep.

It's not a problem shammallamma. You won't lose the left and right positions, but they will now be called header and footer.

I must have something nerfed. I went to the new page format, changed the left/right to header and footer, and lost my sides.. I'm gonna try and reinstall and see if that helps any.
