Some problems

I cant change the size of the right column.
Problem 2:
I cant choose to view also right column on every page.
When I choose this option it gives a blank space at the right side of my forum.
Problem 3: (most important)
How can I add the links to private messages and login/logout to the board navigation like they are on the page header? I have tried to copy the links exactly as they are and copy the code from page_header.php to portal.php, but it seems it isnt being done there. Or maybe I am doing something wrong (ofcourse I do!).
I hope I am clear about the problems that I'm facing and also hoping that they can be solved because this portal realy rocks.
