I'm looking at expanding my site but can't seem to find anything out there that will let me do what I want.

I want to enable users to have their own storage space and upload and manage that space via the website.

Another thing I want to do (goes along with that above) is embed video. Not something uploaded at another site, but one that is uploaded to their own storage space and then they can embed into a post (much like how a picture is currently done....) that will allow it to actually be played inside that post (like how you can embed a youtube video)

Is this possible? Is there anything of that nature out there?

User Upload & Advanced BBCode Box should do what you are wanting... although I haven't tried linking a video from my upload area. I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Do you have a link to the user upload?
I can't seem to find it.
