How to change permissions to moderator status?

I am trying to make moderators on boards. They have the "title" of moderators when it comes to rank, but when it comes to permissions I can either make them an admin or nothing at all. There is no option for moderator!

Help!

1. Go into your ACP.

2. Select Group Admin / Manage and then create a new group (call ti Moderators or something)

3. Chose how you want the group to be set up, use either Closed or Hidden Group, and you will need to make a group moderator, either yourself or someone else.

4. After your group is made, go to ACP / Group Admin / Permissions, select your group from the dropdown, and set up the permissions for each forum.

5. After Permissions are set, go to your board, select user groups and View Information, here you can add and remove members from the group.

And that should about cover it... <img>

Hmm.. It could just be the skin I'm using, but when I click 'usergroups' and click on 'staff' it doesnt really show much information, I'd assume its supposed to list the people inside that group! Even after adding names, the information on the next page shows click here to return etc but above it is blank as if something was supposed to go there.

Something is pretty odd -- http://www.gamersedgecafe.com/forums go ahead and click on usergroups and even not registered you will know what i'm talking about.

What I am mostly wanting it to do as well is on the left bar where it says "staff" i want to be able to click on that to list the moderators under it.

Right now when you click on 'staff' it shows admin, me (Dylan) and my business partner (showoffjp) under 'administrators' and that's it.

If you would be able to look at both sections, maybe it'll be easier to understand my problem. I have already created the group and set the permissions. I'm stuck on step 5, more than likely because of my skin or a bug.

That is different, part of it looks like it is missing lang files, but that wouldnt explain it not showing members, or even the group owner.

Have you tried using a different template, just to see if that is where the problem is???

okay it's official -- it is NOT the template. Same exact thing happens for the default subice theme. Any suggestions?

i am really not sure but maybe the permission on a file or a folder making this mess.
check that the permissions of your IM files and folders are equals to the the install guide.

make a backup of your current groupcp.php and upload a fresh one.. see if this method helps.. if it doesnt then upload ur old file back..

and if its nota template issue then it should be a language file issue..

okay now that that problem is dealt with, back to the original topic... when i click on "staff" on the left, how come it just shows "admin, dylan, showoffjp" as under administrator and there is no one under "moderator" even though they were granted permissions as moderator through the group?

again its at http://www.gamersedgecafe.com/forums/portal.php

i still can't get the rest of the people to show under there, strange enough
