I am trying to mod my forum so that the first 2-3 posts in the "Announcements" forum are shown on the IMPortal homepage in the "Announcements" block. Long ago I had downloaded a mod you had suggested to me but was unsucessful in the install. I have put it off for a while and no longer have the file. Could you please link me a download for this mod and possibly give me some suggestions on the install?

Everything can be done in ACP -> IM Portal ->
Either in Blocks Management or Portal Configuration

You can also determine the number of announcements to display in Portal Configuration and make the Announcements Block visible in Blocks Management... Probably don't need a mod <img>

Allright I made the anouncements block on the homepage set to "block file: forum" and set it to display 3 announcements in Portal Config, but nothing is showing up.. Any suggestions?

Do I have to do anything to the forum itself to let the block file know that thats the info I want it to display? Or set anything on the block file so that it attaches to the right forum?

Set the block file to Announcements... It will displays in portal page. If you want is elsewhere we can see later...

Haha well thats probably the problem, When I go to set the block file "Announcements" is not one of the options... Is there any way I can create this block?

It should have come with the original install package I believe. Reupload that block file?
