I saw somewhere there was an Americas Army theme for a previous version.
Would like to see an Americas Army theme for 141.
Thanks.

Looks great.
Have a few issues. Using it on our site
http://www.aaquacks.com.
Not sure if you can change theme as a guest to check it out.
ON PORTAL PAGE:
Our clan banner is incorrectly placed.
I would assume by the distortion, we can only use 3 column instead of 4 that we have now.
The section below the calendar is missing left frame line.
ON FORUM PAGE:
Our clan banner is incorrectly placed.
The section directly below the calendar is too far left according to the frame line for the right side.

no, cant see it. Only portal_body, 3_colum, and Layout1 are ported.
You are not using a standard layout. It looks like you have combined left and footer blocks on the same page

Our portal page is set for portal_body.tpl, but it is too wide for the page.
Have to scroll left and right. Page has header, center, right & footer settings.
I tried to create a test account login for you to see it, but can't get the confirmation code correct.
Annoying.
I'll try another registation when it will allow me too. Won't let me again. Too many tries this session.

I have set the theme as default
I have rearranged the portal page to 3 columns. It appears the outer line frame is missing.
I also noticed some images missing. I think you need to be logged in to see some of them.
I will try later and see if I can create a test account so you can see for yourself.
Later.

Still incorrect under the top calendar.

you added additional images inside the main table which is why the forum is pused down and the banner is not. Create a new table, add all the top stuff and put it before the first table in overall_header.
The broken side at the top is because I removed the radio link. Not sure why it acts up on your forum and not mine, but Ill look into it

I didn't add any images.
I installed the theme from the download and didn't change anything but remove the calendar at the bottom.
Not sure which image your referring to.
I created an account login:test password 12345
I noticed the message button bside logout is missing. I uploaded images folder twice not sure what's missing.
Also on the messages page, on the inbox, there are images missing in the corners of the inbox.

That fixed the placement of the message and logout buttons.
Message button appears ok now.
The logout button isn't functioning. Not sure if it's supposed to be next to the other buttons or over on the right where it is now.
Our clan banner still incorrectly placed.
Right frame still incorrect under calendar.
Images missing in cormers of inbox (click messages to see it)
Not very good at the coding, but I tried tracing through it, and was looking at the overall_header, and was wondering, can you have <td>'s inside a <td>?
<td>
</a><a><img></a></td>
</td>
May be ok, but had to ask. Part of my learning process.

try the dl again. Not sure how, but it contained the old overall_header.
since youve got a bunch of stuff above the overall header, youll have to adjust the banner location here

Moved banner to correct place.
Still part under calendar out of place.
I assume that part is in the overall header as well.
I'll snoop through it.

it probably has to do with the broken block under your vent status block. It could be any one of the banners or blocks that have added code. If you have an extra or missing table, td, tr or an an extra or missing /table, /td etc
Most themes dont have nearly as many tables in them, so you may not even notice it on them. Try the CS or HL2 themes and see if you have the same trouble

Also had announcements incorrectly setup.

I have a friend that suggested using Eversoft to see what was happening.

Neat program though.
As far as I can tell, that areas table is set to 100% width, so not sure what keeps it from going all the way across.

Only thing I can see, is that the footer blocks are too high.
Could this be blocking it?
Or if that part was the correct width, it would push the footer blocks down?

I turned all the footer blocks off and still same.
I will try uploading all the files again.
I know using SmartFTP, while uploading I get alot of "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."
Might have a bad file.

This might help in figuring out my problem.
I played with the settings, and came up with these results.
Page set to portal_body or layout1 - same results
Page set to layout1:
Forum-wide header - Yes
Forum-wide footer - No
Page displays perfectly.
Forum-wide header - No
Forum-wide footer - Yes
Get distortion, but just off slightly
Forum-wide header - Yes
Forum-wide footer - Yes
Get the worst distortion - the one you saw before.
Seems with header or footer on, there is distortion.
If this doesn't help, did you update the theme download?
Maybe I will download it again and try uploading again.

I don't see why the other templates are ok.

I turned off forum-wide footer and it was better.
Totally stumped.
Gonna download the whole theme pack again and start over.

I downloaded it again and installed it with the same results.
I changed my page from layout1 to portal and the same thing
I installed it at my other site,
http://www.myfriendsareyourfriends.com/forum/index.phpAnd does the same thing there.
Not sure if your using something different or something wrong on both sites.
I turned all my blocks off and it still happens.
If I turn forum-wide footers off, it is ok.
Not sure what else to look at. Issue happens with forum-wide footer setting.
Could it have anything to do with the fact that I haven't updated site for latest update of phpbb?

Found a problem.
I had someone else look at the site and he caught something right away.
They footer blocks TITLES are all the wrong color.
They are the color of the links in the menu blocks.
He said he thinks it's a bad file in the theme itself because it uses a color only in that theme.
He says my blocks are ok or it would be a problem on all the themes.
I'll look through some of the files, but not sure where exactly I should be looking.

most themes do not use tables for the images in the layouts. they use css. This theme has alot of tabled images in the layouts, which makes it vulnerable to breakage if there is even 1 extra, or missing html open or close tag. The entire template is like that. CS is the same. Install it and see it it breaks.

also try this
open overall_header.tpl
find and delete this code. Save it to put it back. This is just a test
- Code: Select all
<Start><Banners><table><tr><td><table><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_1_IMG}</div></td></tr><END><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_2_IMG}</div></td></tr><END></table></td><td><table><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_3_IMG}</div></td></tr><END><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_4_IMG}</div></td></tr><END></table></td><td><table><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_5_IMG}</div></td></tr><END><BEGIN><tr><td><div>{BANNER_6_IMG}</div></td></tr><END></table></td></tr></table><End><End>
also be sure to delete the eXtreme styles cache after every change

I agree it looks like something is broken causing the incorrect title colors in the footer blocks.

The CS theme did the same, so I guess it's not the theme. LOL
If it was a problem with one of the blocks I created, wouldn't turning them all off not fix it?
Then I would turn one on at a time to find out which one?
That's what I thought I could do, but having all the header and footer blocks off, it still happens.
I did leave all the center blocks on, but didn't think it could be them since it happens on both home and forum pages.

It seems to only happen on themes with the menu box below the calendar.
I was looking at the overall_header file again, and was wondering about the last part.
In one spot there is a:
</tr>
</tr>
</table>
I don't see 2 <tr> to match up. Can you have a </tr> without a corresponding <tr>?
<END>
<table>
<tr>
<td><img></td>
<td>
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<table>
<tr>
<td>

</tr>
</table>
</td>
<BEGIN>
<td>

<td>

<END>
<td><img></td>
</tr>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
<tr>
<td>
{PORTAL_HEADER}
<td><img></td>
<td>

Actually I believe it's in the wrong spot.
One of the </tr> should be moved down to just before the next <tr>
What files fall between the overall header and footer?
Anything ending with _body?

just about every other file goes in between, but your probably refuring to index_body.tpl
You have so much stuff on your forum it will be difficult to find the culprit. If you send me your ftp info i can probably put a bandaid on the template so it will work properly.

I tell you what I did.
I took the header, index and footer files and made one file.
I then began matching all the td, tr, table, embed, object, etc with the corresponding /td, /tr, /table, etc.
The index file cleans up perfect.
But the header and footer are extremely broken up.
I am trying to rebuild it myself, with my limited skill at coding, I'll do my best.
Something I found so far:
<BEGIN>
<td><object>
<param>
<param>
<param>
<param>
<embed>
</embed></object></td>
<END>
<BEGIN>
<td width="455"valign="top" style="padding-left]</embed></object></td>
<END>
After fixing that and removing things that were ok and matching, I end up with this]</tr>
</table>
</td>
<tr>
<td>
<td>
-----------------------------------------------------
</tr>
<table>
<tr>
<td><table>
<tr>
<td>
<div>
<div>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
Header is above the '------------------' and footer below.
I'll see what I can figure out on my own.

you said you have the same issue with CS. Between 140 and 141 there are over 700 dl's of the CS template, plus HL2, A_Army and Ghost Recon and your site is the first one ive heard of to have this issue. All of these templates are built the same with just image changes. I think your wasting your time trying to fix the template, when I am pretty sure it is in one of your blocks banners, or ads.

Then why would it still happen when i remove all the banners and blocks?
Why does it go away when turning off forum-wide footers?
Why does it do the same thing on 3 different sites?
I am going to try installing an entire new site and add the theme.
If it works, I'll import the database to it and use it.

Ok - I installed a tolally new install.
I added the theme.
This is a factory installed site with a new database.
Nothing at all added.
Same thing with a new install.
On your test site, enable forum-wide footer and you'll get the same thing.
It's the theme that is glitched somewhere.
For some reason, these themes won't work with any footer blocks when enabled.
