MOD Name: Email Digests
Author: MarkDHamill
MOD De.scription: Sends customized email digests to self subscribed users of a phpBB board. Daily or weekly digests can be send. Digest can be customized to restrict posts to particular forums and to be sent at a particular time of the day. Excerpts from posts are presented with a convenient link back to the original message if the user wants to read more. Other filtering options are available. Requires crontab or similar server side utility to send the digests.

Ummmm.. it's already included...

Take a look at Digests over on the left navigation panel... I think you'll find it does exactly what you described

neither sends digest to all registered users. Only users who have subscribed to the digests. I think you would have to use a mass email to send something to everyone

How modify the template for Digests ?

I am looking for is a simple .script which will send a listing of all new postings to all users automatically every 7 days. I want all users to be automatically opted in...not have to subscribe...and I want to control the frequency...not the user.

Plus on my 141 install at least Digests is not fully functional as the theme in use on the forum is not shown at all in the email.

Plus the one in IM is now a fair bit out of date.
