Shop Mod-Question

i am just really beginning to set some things up with the shop mod on my forum, and i have a question.

i thought you could set your settings, so a user could buy multiply items at a time.

like buying all 10 of an inventory that is in the shop, but when i go to purchase all 10 of that item, it does not give me the option of how many i want to purchase, i have to purchase all 10 one by one.

can anyone answer this? is it possible? have i coded something wrong?

Im interested in where you got some store inventory at..lol All i have is effects store.....And I have user shops set to on....Where does a user go to create a shop even? Im not really gonna use this mod, I dont think, BUT I installed it to see its functions and how it works. Just havent got user shops and where to get the inventories at yet..... <img>

i will try to answer your questions as best as i can.

first, you have the general admin>shop settings

here you will create a shop by filling out the information and clicking create shop.

next, you choose the shop you want to stock, and edit it

you are taken to the screen where you can add images to your shop, just upload these images to root/shop/images select the image you are adding to your shop, and fill in the information.

then go to users admin>user shops and set it to have user shops.

then it is a matter of your members going to your forum shops, buying items which ends up in their inventory.

a user must then open his own shop by going to shops, and clicking on user shops

then clicking to open their own shop

once they have opened their own shop, they can then add items to their shop from the inventory they purchased from the forum shops.

Ok I got all of that figured out minus the users shops. I went to shops after setting the users admin to yes allow user shops, go back to shops and there is no link to create user shops there....I am obviously missing something somewhere. On Integramod.com there was an edit for the lottery, that if you were NOT using shop mod, to make a edit in a file. I did this edit. I wonder if thats not what the problem is, but I thought I reversed the edit once I installed shop mod. I could be wrong...Everyhting is working correctly minus that 1 eluding user shops link. Even Items pool in the lottery is working.... <img>

did you buy something from the forum shop? do you actually have something in your inventory?

Yes, just for the fun of it, I uploaded my forum icons into my inventory. I went to the shop and bought all of the images. 20 something in total i believe, and went back to the shops and nowhere at all is the link. While I'm in admin status, I recheck that user shops are set to on. They are. I logged out and back in as one of my test accounts and bought all the items again and went to open my own shop and the link just isnt there. Not sure where to look now....Maybe my edits are bad when installing the mod?

i am lost for what you could do. both places in the acp are set right? then i don't know what to do, it would seem that maybe something was edited wrong, anyone wanna help? <img>

Cleo, I know it's been a while now but I just realised, When i installed this mod, I couldnt do this edit because these lines were not found. Maybe could be the problem? All other editing was done successfully..

actually MWE, if i am right that is just to add a link to your overall header, which i have never done because all my styles use the nav bar.

Ok then...I shall recheck all of my edits yet again. Problem is since I installed that mod, I reformatted my computer and lost the mod. I have found several others, just cant recolect which one that I used..... <img> Have a nice day/night.....Ray

back with another question about the shop mod.

i decided to set up the effects shop, but when i go to the shop settings, and edit the special effects store i get a message that says

Information
Invalid shop settings.

i enter a name for it, then pick what i want available and add the cost.

any ideas on what i am doing wrong?

I still after all this time can not get user shops to work lol I would like to uninstall it but cant remember where to get the dload from so i have the install doc to redo all the edits back again. Any idea where to get as other party requested?

That is definately a good link, BUT allll this time later I look back on that dload and it has nothing in it for user shops what so ever. maybe thats why mine never worked. Cleo if you are still around, please help us out by giving us a clue as to which version you are using and if its still available for Dload. As I sadi the read me text in that particular file has nothing in it what so ever file OR edit wise for user shops.

The bad part is Im afraid to use the read me as an uninstall guide JUST incase I got the wrong file. I hate to remove and add edits back that are wrong.

Can anyone help us out with this anymore or is the shop mod a dead topic?

are you trying to remove it? because i did find the shop mod... and i have the link to the original maker's assuming we have the same one... do you know what version yours is?

No Im not sure which one I have. I can try to find out somewhre, but where? Im afraid to go by the pages due to them being old and copy and pasted on as updates came out. Im not sure. lol.

I have it all turned off for now so its not effecting me any but removal would be nice. I fyou have a link to that may I have a look?

The one i have shows up in the General Admin section as "Shop Settings"

And it has the effects shop already added.... the newer one didn't.

Mine definately dont look like that at all.
I got 1 setting for user shops in User Admin and another in general settings BUT it looks nothing like that. Im using version 2.6.1PCP I THINK. I got everything to work fine but no user shops. If it werent for that fact Id leave it in and use it.

I checked every file edit atleast a dozen times over the months and I missed nothing at all. I dont know. lol Im at a loss.

it sounds like you may have the newer one... that's at that link too... mine's the old one...

if you post a screen shot of what YOURS looks like, i'd be able to tell for sure, because i used to have the newer one installed for like 3 minutes <img>

i had to uninstall the newer one because it just wasn't working with integramod... the older one does, though.

The shop mod 3 and addons can be found at http://www.phpbbhacks.com as well as http://www.phpbb-tweaks.com

phpbb tweaks is a mess but they are there. Your best bet is to try and find them at hacks site first.

Thanx Ray.. but, I run into the same problem all of the time, these modsw call for an edit to the includes/usercp_viewprofile.php... which integra doesn't have???????????

you didnt find the right ones then. Over at tweaks, the only copies they have are the .2 version for PCP

The ones at phpBBhacks, i might have been mistaken on but i know for a fact I saw them for PCP. thats where I got mine from no more then 2 weeks ago.

Keep searching. If all else fails, I may just have to put them on my server and let you grab them.....BUT I do stress, keep looking, I know they are there.
