ok I have an itsy problem... and I dunno if this has been mentioned couldn't find it in search I did look honestly.

My posting.php be buggered... like totally buggered. It shows on the ftp listing and the c panel listings, but it can't be accessed, deleted or replaced.. you get file cannot be found.. except it is there GRRRRRRR. When you try to make a post on the actual forum it just reads page cannot be found.... this be driving me nutty.

Whether this was caused by the DDos exploit that was run on the functions.php this morning I have no idea.

and if it helps anyone this is ip that was used 33.65.178.23 it doesn't trace back properly though keeps timing out...[flash=,:3vdm791h]http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/8017/p7os5.gif[/flash:3vdm791h]

oh and I think it was hacked cos my testing forum is gone... like gone... ftp and cpanel are telling me the directory doesn't exist... even though I can still see the damn thing in the listings

ususally, if you cannot delete a file, it means it is in use. Try stopping/restarting your server.

But *sigh* we ended up wiping the server and reinstalling everything.

It truly is the craziest thing... well that I have ever seen.. it's like you can see it but the server doesn't recognise it is there.

And when I finally got my paws on the posting.php file... talk about scrambled... I have never seen anything like it, and the only way I got that was to download the whole thing to my pc. and open the file that way.

it was a complete mess of code.. like someone had just jumbled it all up together.

oh well it be fixed now... dunno why or how it happened. But, it seems the only way to rectify was to start again.

Hi Ebony... make sure you have the security updates just in case it was hacking... see [url=http]Link![/url]...it is strange almost like the result of a file system repair/fix that didn't actually repair <img>

*offtopic ebs ranty* although why anyone would hack the realm is beyond me... there is nothing there not really. It's only a discussion forum with like me and the guys talking hardly the most interesting thing to most people.. I mean I love it, but to most people.. it's just another discussion forum.
